Elk Creek flows through mountain meadows, past the Lodge, and into the White River, providing guests with an abundance of fishable water at their doorsteps. Additionally, anglers fish the North Fork, South Fork, and main stem of the White River, as well as numerous other tributaries. All of the private water, over 15 miles in total, has easy access and wading. Best of all, it is only minutes from the lodge - maximizing fishing hours rather than driving time.
An additional highlight is the 1-day fly-out to Utah's incomparable Green River. This scenic 45-minute flight with professional pilots, who have extensive mountain flying experience, puts you on what is considered to be the most prolific tailwater fishery in the United States. There have been reports of 10,000 trout per mile in the upper sections of this incredible river, which is well known as a big trout dry-fly source. Here you will have a day of angling from a drift boat, a nice contrast from the wade fishing on the waters in the Lodge area. This is a trip to long be remembered.
Elk Creek guests also enjoy Trapper's Lake, the second largest natural lake in Colorado. The lake is famous for it's pure strain of wild cutthroat trout. There is also access to other alpine lakes and private spring fed ponds that offer tremendous angling and breathtaking scenery.
