On August 17, 1979, this young man lost his life
standing just inside a shaft of the Mohawk mine . His companion,
Doug Helmts, suffered serious injuries, but survived. His parents,
Darrel and Pat Crabb owned and operated the Watuck (Soda Butte)
Lodge. His passing is a loss to all who knew him when they lived
and worked in Cooke City. |
