Welcome To Adams Lodge
Adams Lodge is a small family owned
and operated ranch located adjacent to the White River National Forest in
a gorgeous setting, with some of the best trout fishing and big game hunting
in the Rocky Mountain Region. The ranch is on the Marvine Creek, 32 miles
east of Meeker at an elevation of 7500 feet. The roads are maintained all
year for good access to the lodge and cabins. We offer several outfitting
services and your trip may be customized to include the activities that
you choose.
In the summer you may stay at the ranch in a cabin and take day trips
on horseback to some of the high mountain lakes for fishing, wildlife watching
or just for the pleasure of a scenic trailride. Our wilderness camp is located
on the Marvine Lakes for those who want to enjoy the wonder of the wilderness
and be comfortable staying in a full service, well equipped camp. For those
who really want seclusion, our West Marvine camp may be just the thing.
On a pack trip across the Flat Tops you will see spectacular wilderness
scenery. We can also pack you and your camping gear into any of several
wilderness lakes in the area. Let a llama pack your lunch while you hike
on an interesting day trip.
In the fall we have archery, muzzleloading
and rifle elk hunts in game management unit 24 (Outfitter #1159). You may
choose a guided hunt from the lodge or an unguided drop camp. Either way
you will be hunting elk from the White River elk herd, the largest elk herd
in the nation. Bull elk licenses can be purchased over the counter for the
combined rifle seasons. Archery, muzzleloading and antlerless elk licenses
for the rifle season are a draw only. The applications are usually available
in February, the deadline to apply is in April and you will know if you
were successful in June. Area 24 has a four point or better regulation which
means that the younger bulls are not killed and now there are more mature
bulls. We have some nice mule deer bucks in the area during the earlier
seasons, but they have often migrated to a lower elevation by the later
seasons.
In the winter our cozy cabins with fireplaces and modern kitchens are
pleasant and comfortable. You can drive to the cabins and ski, snowshoe
or snowmobile from your doorstep to the White River National Forest. A short
drive will take you to several groomed and marked snowmobile trails on the
north side of the White River. The trails on the south side of the river
are great for cross country skiing, quiet and uncrowded. After a day playing
in the snow you may relax in the hot tub.
Whatever the season, you will find comfortable accommodations and warm
hospitality at Adams Lodge. Let us show you why we love where we live.
